ཚུར་ལ་སྡང་མིག་བལྟས་ཀྱང་།།

སྡང་ལན་འཛུམ་གྱིས་བསུ་བའི།

འཛམ་གླིང་ཕན་བདེའི་རྩ་བ།།

ཁྱེད་ནི་ཞི་བདེའི་དེད་དཔོན།།

Even if they glare at you with angry looks,

You repay their hate with a smile

You, O Master of Peace and Joy,

Are the root of kindness and happiness in the world.

ཚུར་ལ་གནོད་སེམས་འཆང་ཡང་།།

གནོད་ལན་ཕན་སེམས་ལྡན་པའི།།

གླིང་འདིའི་མི་རིགས་ཡོངས་ལ།།

ཞི་བདེའི་ལམ་སྟོན་ཆེན་མོ།།

Even if they think of you with malice,

You repay their malice with kindness

You illuminate the path of well-being

For all the peoples of the world

ཞི་བདེའི་ལྷ་བྱ་དཀར་པོ།།

O Holy White Bird of Peace and Joy

ཕར་ལ་ཕན་པ་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱང་།།

ཕན་ལན་གནོད་ཀྱིས་མཇལ་ཡོང་།།

ཁྲོ་མེད་བྱམས་བརྩེས་བསྐྱངས་པའི།།

ཁྱེད་ནི་ཞི་བདེའི་རྒྱ་མཚོ།།

Even though you are kindly toward them,

They return your kindness with harm.

You are an ocean of well-being

Who, without anger, lovingly protects them,

ཕྱག་གཉིས་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་ནས།།

འགྲོ་དྲུག་སྤྱི་བོར་བཀོད་བཞིན།།

འཛམ་གླིང་དབང་དུ་བསྒྱུར་བའི།།

ཞི་བདེའི་འཁོར་བསྒྱུར་ཆེན་མོ།།

Having joined the palms of your two hands,

You place all beings before yourself

And disarm the world,

O great ruler of peace and joy

ཞི་བདེའི་ལྷ་བྱ་དཀར་པོ།།

O Holy White Bird of Peace and Joy

ས་སྟེང་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཡོངས་ཀྱིས།།

མཚོན་དང་དཔུང་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས།།

མངའ་འབངས་དབང་དུ་བསྡུས་པ།།

འདི་ལ་ཡ་མཚན་ཅི་ཡོད།།

Every nation on earth

Depends on weapons and armies

To subjugate the masses

What’s so wonderful about this?

མཚོན་དང་དམག་དཔུང་མེད་པའི།།

ཤཱཀྱའི་དགེ་སྦྱོང་གཅིག་གིས།།

ས་སྟེང་དབང་དུ་བསྒྱུར་བ།།

འདི་ལས་ཡ་མཚན་ཅི་ཡོད།།

Without weapons and armies,

A single Buddhist monk

Disarms the whole world

What’s so wonderful as this?

ཞི་བདེའི་ལྷ་བྱ་དཀར་པོ།།

O Holy White Bird of Peace and Joy

ཕ་ཡུལ་གྲུ་འཛིན་ཞིང་ལ།།

སྨོན་ལམ་ལོག་པའི་དམ་སྲི།།

ལྷག་ཏུ་བྱམས་བརྩེ་ཆེ་བའི།།

ཞི་བདེའི་ལྷ་བྱ་དཀར་པོ།། 

In our homeland, in the Buddha-field of the Potala,

Are demons of perverted aspirations

O Holy White Bird of Peace and Joy,

Of incomparable love and great mercy

ཞི་བདེའི་ལྷ་བྱ་དཀར་པོ།།

ཁྲི་ཕྲག་བཞུགས་པར་སྨོན་ནོ།།

བསླུ་མེད་མཆོག་གསུམ་དམ་པས།།

སྨོན་པ་དོན་ལྡན་མཛོད་ཅིག།།

O Holy White Bird of Peace and Joy

Tens of thousands wait and pray

May the unfailing holy three jewels

Bring our prayers to fruition
