Note: The quality of the lyrics in this video was very poor, so I had to look
and listen closely and take an educated guess for much of what is being said.
However, I think what I put here is accurate. If anyone does not know, chang
refers to the traditional Tibetan brew of choice--sometimes referred to in
English as barley beer (though I think translating it as such for the purpose
of Tibetan music leaves a lot to be desired, and so I usually prefer to leave
it as is). Also, the white scarf mentioned throughout this song refers to what
is called a Khatag, and is the traditional way to greet people on special
occasions, especially spiritual figures. Another thing to note here is this
term གེ་སར (ge sar), which usually refers to the legendary figure Gesar of Ling
written about in Tibet's most famous epic. However, here is a usage I have
never seen before; according to my dictionary, this term can mean "glory
in full bloom' (supposedly there is some connotation here with a flower, hence
the 'blooming'), which I rendered as "full glory" in order to try and
capture the meaning without retaining the seemingly unnecessary connotation of
the flower.
