མགོན་འདི་ཡི་ཕྲིན་ལས་འཛད་མཐའ་བྲལ།།

As golden-yellow as the rising sun
Is the divine Jowo's golden face.  
Never forget our supplication prayers!
The activities of this protector are inexhaustible.

དུང་དཀར་པོའི་ཟླ་བ་ཤར་འདྲ་བོ།།
རྗེ་བསྟན་འཛིན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་འཛུམ་ཞལ་རེད།།
བོད་རང་གིས་རང་ཚུགས་མ་སྐྱུར་དང་།།
རྗེ་དེ་ཡི་ཐུགས་རྗེས་འདོར་མི་སྲིད།།

Like the rising of the conch-white moon is
His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso's smiling face.
Do not leave Tibet's independence behind!
To discard His Holiness' compassion is impossible.

ལྷོ་གཡུ་འབྲུག་དགུང་ནས་གྲགས་འདྲ་བོ།།
སྐྱབས་བསླུ་མེད་ཀརྨ་རིན་ཆེན་རེད།།
ཡིད་དད་པས་གསོལ་འདེབས་མ་བརྗེད་དང་།།
བོད་གཞི་བྱེས་འཛོམས་ལ་ཡུན་མི་རིང་།།

Like a turquoise dragon's roar from the heavens,
Is the precious Karmapa's infallible refuge
Do not forget our faithful supplication prayers!

It is not long until Tibetans at home and abroad reunite.

Notes:

Another pleasant, and rather bold, song from one of our favorite singers, Tsomo. This was relatively straightforward to translate. The main issues I had were due to misspellings (mainly on my side!). Transcribing these songs, at times, actually resembles working with manuscripts and trying to decipher what is (or is not) written. Thankfully this song has generously large subtitles (although one ཞབས་ཀྱུ was hanging down off the screen and caused some confusion).  However other songs, depending on their quality and how many times they've been copied, can be quite difficult to read the subtitles. What really got me with this melodious Amdo song is the drum beat in the background - so please enjoy!
